The role of the Production Manager - Timber & Energy Production will involve:
- Production Manager position overseeing the manufacturing and production line for a high end range of timber products
- Manage and oversee the production personnel to achieve maximum production efficiency
- Initiating continuous improvement in the following areas; quality, plant functionality, value for money from suppliers and contractors, health, safety and environmental performance and team working
- Ensure that all regulations, policies and health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times
- Liaise with maintenance staff to ensure that plant machinery is fully operational and down time is a minimum
- Identify areas of the production line that need improving to increase productivity
- Provide regular feedback to the workforce around performance
The ideal applicant will be a Production Manager - Timber & Energy Production with:
- Must have Production Management experience within the manufacturing market sector
- Ideally will be from a timber products, renewable energy or construction related background dealing with: timber, lumbar, material timber, saw milling, saw mill, decking, fencing, whitewoods, carcassing etc
- Must be an excellent communicator and leader
- Lean manufacturing skillset (5S), IOSH & NEBOSH qualifications would be advantageous
- IT literate and familiar with manufacturing software
- Proactive, motivated, and highly organised
