The core focus of this role will be to take responsibility for overseeing the administration of Company's data protection program and compliance framework project.

We are looking for a Paralegal or Data Protection Analyst who has experience in all aspects of data protection as well as experience in working in a busy commercial legal office.
Core activities:
- Supporting in the implementation of the data protection project for the Company under the instructions of the DPO
- Monitoring the legal mailbox to address enquiries related to data protection including reviewing internal documents, customer / commercial documents etc
- Identification of data subject rights requests from customers and employees and submission of such into existing processes.
- Coordinating and responding to data protection queries from the business, in support of the DPO
- Management of requests for personal data from external governmental authorities, law enforcement and similar bodies
- Supporting the DPO in responding to regulatory enquiries.
- Project management, including preparing and maintaining tracker documents for monitoring progress of matters, data subject rights and privacy complaints
- Supporting the legal department with administrative tasks in line with the workload of the department
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Relevant and up to date practical commercial knowledge and experience of reviewing and/ or drafting commercial documents such as non-disclosure agreements, framework agreements, statements of work etc, as appropriate; ensuring ongoing contractual compliance and maintaining of records.

Candidates should have strong academic background, or equivalent experience, and at least two years' experience working as a data protection paralegal or analyst. We are also looking for candidates with the following characteristics:

IAPP CIPP/E or equivalent data protection qualifications

Experience drafting concise, highly accurate responses to customer enquiries and complaints

Experience processing complex data subject requests

Motivated and willing to get stuck in and involved

Genuine interest in data protection and privacy

Solid understanding of contract law principles and practice
FTC for a minimum of six months with an annual salary of up to £32k per annum. 25 days annual leave pro rata for the six months.
