Building Inspector - Stockport Council
- Pay Rate: Up to £40ph Umbrella
- Job Type: Full-time, interim
- Contract: Initial 2 months
- Working Arrangement: Office presence with flexibility for some remote work
Stockport Council are offering an exciting opportunity for Registered Building Inspectors, validated to Class 2a, 2b, or 3, to join our dynamic team. With a focus on building regulations and legislation, you will handle a diverse range of Building Control activities, including plan assessments, site inspections, and investigations into dangerous buildings.
Day to Day of the role:
- Conduct thorough plan assessments and site inspections.
- Investigate reports of dangerous buildings and take appropriate action.
- Complete detailed site reports following visits.
- Work on a varied workload that includes domestic, commercial, industrial, and high-rise residential projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Current validation as a Registered Building Inspector to Class 2a, 2b, or 3.
- Relevant Building Control experience with a thorough knowledge of building regulations and legislation.
- Ability to undertake site visits and produce comprehensive site reports.
- Registered with the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) or willing to obtain registration.
