Our client is a leading provider of comprehensive logistics and transportation solutions, specialising in warehousing and distribution services, operates multiple sites in the North East of England.
They require an experienced HGV Technician to work on a mixed fleet at their Cramlington site. You will be engaging in fault diagnostics, servicing, repairs, breakdown recovery, MOT prep/presentation and full vehicle overhaul (including engine/gear box repairs). You will be a reliable, trustworthy individual with the capability to work unsupervised, using your own initiative, to tight deadlines.
Applicants must have a minimum of 2+ years post qualification experience - Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance/Repairs and/or be Time Served. Additionally, a qualification of a Class 1 HGV Licence would be of benefit.
A 45 hour weekly two shift pattern is in operation (salary £41418 per annum). In addition to the base salary, overtime rates start at £23.01 hourly. All technicians participate in a first time MOT pass bonus scheme which secures an extra £60.00 per month (approx). Standby callout is a £60.00 fee plus a minimum of 2 hours overtime. Other benefits include 28 days annual leave per year (including public holidays), NEST pension scheme and Death in Service Benefit schemes.
Shifts: 07:00 hours to 16:30 hours (week 1) then 09:30 hours to 19:00 hours + Saturday morning (week 2).
