Venn Group are supporting an large Theatre group in London with a key appointment to the Project team.

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Salary: £47,250

The successful candidate will:

  • provide support, knowledge, and expertise in all engineering matters with a bias to electrical/mechanical services, for the portfolio of projects delivered by the Estates Capital Projects team.
  • act as a point of contact for Contractors, Designers, NT Project Managers, external Project Managers and the Programme Manager for engineering related queries, design information, specification queries, co-ordination matters, investigations, surveys, and liaison with the Facilities team
  • assist with the provision of mechanical and electrical design information to contractors, designers, and the project managers
  • provide on-site co-ordination between contractors, designers, and the organisation in all engineering related matters
  • comment on technical designs, specification, and information, throughout the design process and review final design information in conjunction with M&E design consultants
  • assist and support contractors with the commissioning and testing process
  • be fully conversant with CDM and to assist in the creation/review and implementation of RAMS's

The successful candidate will have:

  • significant experience in a similar role and understanding of contracts, compliance and procurement in an estates function
  • Extensive experience as a Project Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical Bias) working on a portfolio of building, infrastructure, or construction projects
  • Ability to work flexibly across many concurrent projects and respond to changing priorities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to liaise with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and contractors.
  • An understanding of the Building Regulations, construction standards, EWR, COSHH, manual handling and quality assurance
  • A recognised electrical/mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent with qualifications to degree level or HNC
