Swift Specialist Recruitment are currently seeking a Technical Engineer for one of our most prestigious Manufacturing clients based in Preston.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical breakdowns and execute repairs promptly to minimise downtime.
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of machinery and equipment.
- Carry out scheduled work tasks and reports.
- Manage stock of components and fittings, reordering as required.
- Operation of CMMS system.
- Completion of PPMs.
- Liaise with supplier reps.
- Maintain accurate service records and history reports.
- Understand and comply with 'lockouttagout' procedures, COMAHetc.
- Any other reasonable duties assigned by the department manager.
Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications
- City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or above in Engineering
- Knowledge of FMCGs machinery
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a general engineering role
