Regulatory Reporting SME, Investment Management

Our client, a highly reputable multi-asset investment management business, is seeking an experienced Regulatory Reporting Analyst to join their newly refurbished City offices.

This is a newly created standalone role, you will bring your regulatory reporting knowledge and expertise to shape what good looks like. This position is not just about business-as-usual tasks, it offers a unique opportunity to build out processes and frameworks for incoming regulations, making a significant contribution to processes.

In this pivotal Regulatory Reporting role, you will collaborate with the Investment Operations Manager to develop and enhance the operating model for Regulatory Reporting. Your focus will be on the new transaction reporting requirements under MIFIR, potential SFTR requirements and managing the existing EMIR reporting model. You will also support the implementation of business changes impacting Investment Operations' systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of MIFIR, EMIR, and SFTR reporting to regulators or relevant ARMs, TAs, etc.
  • Utilise advanced Excel/VBA skills to enhance reconciliation macro tools.
  • Coordinate amendments to Delegated Reporting Agreements/ISDAs/CSAs with internal Legal and external counterparties.
  • Chair weekly EMIR & MIFIR Working Group meetings.
  • Lead the development of an EMIR & MIFIR manual/handbook.
  • Maintain relationships with DTCC & LSEG, facilitating report receipt and necessary changes.
  • Oversee the completion of annual Due Diligence questionnaires by delegated reporting counterparties.
  • Perform Uncleared Margin Rules (UMR) and Clearing threshold calculations.
  • Investigate incidents or errors, identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
  • Assist the Investment Operations Manager in ensuring external service providers meet agreed service, support, and quality standards, and conduct regular due diligence reviews.
  • Conduct operational impact assessments for new instruments, brokers, and product changes.
