Responsibilities:

Handling high-value and technical private client work related to capital tax planning, trusts, asset protection, and succession issues.
Advising on capital tax reliefs and opportunities for reduction, particularly in relation to agricultural and/or business assets.
Creating and altering trusts, ensuring compliance requirements are met.
Drafting wills, letters of wishes, powers of attorney, and other legal documents.
Managing all aspects of estate administration, including complex, high-value estates and those involving agricultural and/or business property.
Attending meetings and liaising with personal representatives and third parties.
Assisting with the valuation of assets, preparing applications for grants of representation, and dealing with HMRC enquiries.
Calculating inheritance tax liabilities and advising on methods of reduction.
Providing advice on post-death tax planning, including deeds of variation and disclaimer.

Requirements:

Qualified Private Client Solicitor with 6 years+ PQE.
STEP Membership would be advantageous, but not essential.
Strong academic background.
Excellent communication skills.
Keen attention to detail.
Ability to prioritise and manage a varied caseload.
