Job Title: Audio Typist
Location: Crow Wood Lane, Widnes, WA8 3LZ
Hours: 37.5 per week Monday - Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm

Role type: Temporary for 2 months with possibility of extension
What you'll be responsible for:
- To provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the community clinics and associated health professionals
- Provide a first point of contact for the Paediatric Audiology service for all service user enquiries, responding to telephone and face to face enquiries in an efficient, tactful and professional manner, redirecting calls, prioritize and taking action as appropriate. Using knowledge to ensure confidentiality and data protection
- Be part of a central booking system to have an efficient approach to appointment management including the cancelation and rearranging of appointments
- Copy type / audio type reports which will contain medical/clinical information
- Management of the patient booking system to include building of clinic sessions, management of waiting lists, breaches, and data cleansing
This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You'll have the following skills/experience:
- Audio typing experience (essential)
- Knowledge of Medical terminology (desirable)
- Knowledge of Microsoft office including teams
- NHS experience (desirable)
- Administration experience (essential)
