Quantity Surveyor

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play an integral role in collaborating with our onsite large project teams. Your primary focus will be to provide comprehensive contract support, maximizing opportunities and minimising risk. By driving results, you will contribute to the overall profitability of the projects.

Responsibilities:

Establishing Commercial Processes and Procedures:

  • Develop and implement commercial processes and procedures that safeguard revenue.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and governance throughout the entire project life cycle.

Commercial Risk Management:

  • Manage commercial risk for the business.
  • Drive the delivery of contractual obligations, mitigating risks effectively.

Financial Management:

  • Assist in the financial management of projects.
  • Prepare and closely monitor cash-flow forecasting, including billings and payments.

Financial Implications and Decision Support:

  • Evaluate and provide advice on the financial implications of potential decisions.

Conflict Resolution:

  • Advise on conflict avoidance, management, and resolution.
  • Compile evidence as needed in the debt resolution process.

Requirements for Success:

Project Experience:

  • Demonstrate experience working on large, complex projects, with values of up to approximately £10 million.

Industry Background:

  • Possess relevant experience in either construction or infrastructure.

Contractual Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with JCT (Joint Contracts Tribunal) and other standard forms of contract.

Resilience and Proactivity:

  • Show resilience and a proactive approach to meeting company commitments.
