Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist
Location: The Woodlands School, Admiral Drive, Hazeley, Milton Keynes, MK8 0PU
Start Date: September 2025 - Fixed Term until 27th March 2026
Salary: £36,124 - £40,476 (Unbanded MKC Grade G1-G4)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Working Pattern: Full Time / Term-Time Only + 5 days in holidays (with option for 5 days' term-time leave)
Contract Type: Fixed Term

The schools provide a supportive, multidisciplinary environment for students with severe and complex speech, language, and communication needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, and associated learning and behavioural difficulties.

**Role Overview

We are seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to join the dedicated team at The Woodlands School. You will deliver clinically effective, person-centred, and evidence-based therapy to students, supporting them to access learning and communication in a tailored and inclusive environment.

**Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver speech and language assessments and interventions for students across the school
  • Work within your scope of practice to support a diverse paediatric caseload
  • Provide training and support to teaching staff - including group workshops and learner-specific input
  • Collaborate closely with the school's multidisciplinary team, including teachers, therapists, and support assistants
  • Maintain professional relationships with students, families, and external services

**You Will Work Closely With:

  • Students and their families/carers
  • School staff across education and therapy
  • Community services and allied professionals

**Ideal Candidate

  • HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist
  • Experience with or interest in complex communication needs, ASD, and paediatrics
  • Passion for integrated, child-centred working in an educational setting
  • Confident delivering both therapy and staff training
