GI Group are now seeking to appoint a Senior Software Developer to our public sector client based in Cardiff. The Senior Software Developer will join a multi-disciplinary National Operational Databases team developing software for their clinical software systems. They will predominantly be working to deliver new Cancer Informatics solutions, working with emerging healthcare technologies, standards, clinical data stores and web services.
Main Duties of the Senior Software Developer:
Working as part of a well-structured Scrum teams, under the guidance of experienced team leads, you shall take responsibility for delivering individual software components. You shall have the opportunity to get involved in all aspects of either the .NET development stack or MS SQL depending on your experience.
Role Requirements:
- Degree in an IT discipline or equivalent experience
- Experience writing complex data manipulation statements using T-SQL as stored procedures and functions.
- Familiarity and experience with SQL Server Management Studio 2008 - 2019
- Experience creating, and using, Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services packages 2008+.
- Knowledge of normalisation techniques and ER-diagramming to design and create scalable, high-performance databases
