Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a world leading automotive company find a Vehicle Test Technician (Electrical), and the contract role comes with a rate of £18.01 per hour (PAYE). This contract is for 12 months and requires being on site in Cranfield full time.
As an Electrical Test Technician, you will test and validate electronic and electrical devices for function, operation, and reliability, including Power Management, Harness, Body Electronics, Meter, Audio and Telephone.
In your first few weeks in this Electrical Vehicle Test Technician role, you can expect to:
- Support testing in static and dynamic conditions to gather accurate, timely and quality test data/results
- Prepare and build vehicles or components for tests in line with local procedures and engineering manuals
- Support evaluation and concern identification including liaison with the Test Engineer
- Support delivery of KPIs for the section.

- The ability to work safely and to comply with legal and company safety policies
- Fundamental understanding of assembly and dis-assembly of vehicles
- Experience in a similar automotive role
- Proficiency in Excel data management and producing graphs
- A good knowledge of Word and PowerPoint for report writing and presentation preparation
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail.
- C&G / BTEC L3 would be preferable, ideally in mechanical, Electrical or automotive engineering with a recognised apprenticeship or qualification within a relevant field
