Day to Day Duties
Duties and responsibilities to include but not limited to:
- Utilise a variety of excel spreadsheets inputting accurate data
- To assist and support in all areas of general administration within a Transport, planning and customer service environment
- Checking delivery driver sheets and paperwork
- Carrying out vehicle checks and inspections
- Booking in any collections/Deliveries
- Obtaining quotes from Third Party Hauliers
- Updating the in house operating system
- Assist Transport Manager with various tasks
Other Duties
- This list is not exhaustive and any other duties as advised to be carried out in an accurate and timely manner as skill sets develop.
Essential Skills
- GCSE English and maths or equivalent
- Preferred NVQ in Business Administration or similar
- IT GCSE or equivalent
- Strong IT skills with the ability to Operate Word, Excel and Outlook
- High level of organisation and time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy of data submitted
- Ability to adapt to different processes and task
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- A knowledge of EU driver's hours rules and WTD
