Personal assistant to a financial advisor

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to use existing supportive and organizational skills to really make a difference. The role involves working with a sensory impairment associate within the financial sector, providing administrative support, thus facilitating their own professional role in the Knightsbridge area of London.

This role will include supporting the client during the completion of a 6 month training period before their advancement to advising clients on their finances.

Your Role:

You will be expected to perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to:

  • Detailed knowledge of Salesforce. Assist with using SJP systems such as SalesForce and IBusiness.
  • Providing any visual assistance required during meetings. E.g, reading handwritten files and paper correspondence, making concise and accurate notes and transferring these into an accessible word format.
  • Adapting written materials, completing forms, making additional notes.
  • Providing the client providing sighted guide assistance when navigating the building and travelling to client meetings in the London area
  • Assisting with travel to client meetings, work events and training sessions.
  • Assisting with admin tasks; scanning, printing, transferring documents into the electronic case recording systems and assisting with the completion of forms which remain inaccessible. Converting documents into accessible formats using word, Excel and power point
  • Proofread work and documentation before completion or submission
  • Other miscellaneous support tasks associated with the role

Knowledge, Skills and qualities

  • Highly motivated and well organised and have strong administrative skills.
  • Any prior experience in supporting a visually impaired person will be an added bonus
  • Experience with the principles behind accessible documents will be helpful, but not essential if you are willing to learn.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • A competent user of Microsoft office and other IT systems
  • Experience or willingness to undergo training on providing sighted guide assistance
  • Ability to learn quickly as the role may change quickly over time.

This post will be subject to a DBS clearance

  • Professional manner and presentation as you will be supporting me as I meet high net worth individuals as their financial adviser.

Working Pattern: up to 20 hours per week to be worked flexibly with the possibility to extend to full time work

Pay and entitlement :

Pay: £14.35 per hour

Holiday entitlement paid and an employer's contribution to a workplace pension.
