The Opportunity

SR2 are supporting one of our long term, Fintech clients who are growing out their Bristol based team of Software Engineers. They have plans to scale up their team with 4 new people, due to success of their product they are developing it further.

This Fintech are happy to train software engineers who are wanting to learn GoLang, please apply if you have backend programming skills and want to learn Go.

They are working with technologies such as Golang, gRPC/proto, PostgreSQL, Microservices, Terraform, Docker, Vue.js, TypeScript, Flutter and Dart.

As a Software Engineer in this squad, you'll be involved with automated testing, CI/CD and engaged within the full software development lifecycle.

You'll have the chance to work full stack and get involved in all areas of their platform, within a supportive and forward thinking environment. Their culture is big on learning & development, and they operate with a high level of autonomy too.

Experience we're looking for

Software engineers are expected to work with self-motivation along with being able to collaborate with fellow teammates, they truly value communication and are also always open to new suggestions and ways of doing things that will improve the product.

  • Strong backend programming skills (in GoLang or Java)
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Understanding of software design patterns (OOAD, DDD, MVC)
  • Microservices experience
  • Understanding of containers/orchestration or event-driven architecture
  • The ability to develop scalable and secure code

Salary range: £60-75k + Bonus + Enhanced parental leave + Up to 31 days holiday + Health Cash Plan + Healthcare + Dental Scheme + More
