Finance Supervisor
- Annual Salary: £32,000 - £36,000

We are seeking a Finance Supervisor to join a prestigious and well-known organisation in Glasgow City Centre. This role involves managing a small team to ensure operational activities are completed efficiently and to a high standard. The successful candidate will be a key member of the finance team, leading by example and promoting a culture of continuous improvement, ownership, and accountability.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage a team of 2 and oversee the mailbox, ensuring timely responses to queries.
- Update FX rates daily in the financial ledger and supervise bank reconciliation progress.
- Lead and motivate the team, ensuring alignment with the organisation's values and finance goals.
- Contribute to service improvement by documenting and updating policies and procedures.
- Act as the main point of contact for liaison with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and month-end reconciliations for investment accounts.
- Calculate and post monthly interest receivable accrual and assist with bi-annual bond interest payments.
- Prepare weekly cash reports and ensure accurate preparation of financial covenant compliance calculations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in a similar role.
- Detailed knowledge of finance and ideally treasury management policies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and articulate financial processes clearly.
- Experience in financial procedures and working in a high-volume finance transactional environment.
- Supervisory or management experience within a finance team is desired, however those with excellent experience looking to take a step up into a management role will also be considered
