Avanti Recruitment has partnered with an established product development company in the Hatfield area that, due to success & growth across the business, is looking to expand its R+D capabilities by adding another embedded software engineer to their team.
The team is multi-disciplinary, and you'll be working alongside electronic, embedded software, mechanical, and software engineers to help bring their new IoT-connected products to life. This is a full design life-cycle role, where you'll be involved at all stages of development. From gathering requirements, helping to design system architecture & firmware, taking projects all the way through to test & release, with lots of scope for learning and further development on the job.
Some experience that would be of interest to us:
Experience with embedded software development (C/C++) on bare-metal MCUs
Low-power products
Interest in product-focused development
Advantageous experience:
STM32/Arduino MCUs
Experience with the full product development life-cycle
Knowledge of Bluetooth
For more experienced candidates, we'd be looking for solid experience with the full product development life-cycle, from requirements capture, to firmware design/implementation, test, and release.
There's a 2 stage interview process; 1x 30 minute Teams interview, followed by 1x on-site technical interview.
On offer is a salary between £40-55,000 depending on experience, as well as a great benefits package including a twice-yearly bonus, BUPA healthcare, 25 days holiday + 1 per year (after 2 years, up to a maximum of 28) excluding bank holidays, with options to buy/sell 5, and more.
