Purchase Ledger Clerk

OUR CLIENT are a high-end, well regarded property company who own a vast amount of commercial and residential properties in South London. They are looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to support the team.

THE ROLE will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing a Purchase Ledger junior.
  • Working on implementing and redesigning the Purchase Ledger function and reports.
  • Reviewing all invoices to ensure they are correct.
  • Logging all incoming invoices and distribute to appropriate staff member.
  • Tracking all invoices are dealt with.
  • Coding invoices to appropriate nominal ledger accountwith clear and concise description of the expense.
  • Posting reviewed invoices to the Purchase Ledger.
  • Listing outstanding supplier balances, investigating and clearing all unsettled balances.
  • Adding new suppliers and updating details as required.
  • Processing valid manual cheque requests, ensuring that these have been correctly authorised.
  • Identifying suppliers from the Purchase Ledger with invoices to pay.
  • Preparing payment instructions, either by BACS or cheque.
  • Settling suppliers invoices paid (including those paid by Direct Debit).
  • Reviewing all accounts monthly and chase the Building & Estate Departments for outstanding recharge instructions
  • Preparing invoices to residents and posting amounts to system.
  • Calculating management fee and preparing journals.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS for Purchase Ledger Clerk:

  • You will have 5+ years' experience in Purchase Ledger within a real estate/property company.
  • Prior experience of using a property system such as QUBE/TRAMPS/YARDI.
  • Experience in resigning and changing Purchase Ledger procedures.
