Our client is a leading Residential childcare provider with exceptional service. As they continue to grow across the Hampshire area, they are seeking an experienced, proactive Deputy Manager to play a key role in driving the business forward during this exciting phase of expansion.

What we are looking for in a Deputy Manager:

Key Skills Required:

  • Qualifications: Level 5 in Residential Childcare (or currently working towards it).
  • Experience: Proven track record working with children and young people with learning difficulties and challenging behaviour.
  • Leadership: Strong team leadership abilities with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion: Diligent, enthusiastic, and passionate about your role.
  • Driving: A full UK Driving Licence is required.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Stay Updated: Keep current with best practices, new legislation, and company policies. Take charge of your professional growth and complete all mandatory training.
  • Professional Development: Participate in regular supervision and take on leadership roles in special projects as assigned by the Registered Manager (e.g., mentor, health and safety rep, key worker).
  • Flexibility: Embrace the unpredictable nature of residential childcare by being adaptable to tasks outside the standard job description. If these become regular duties, they'll be officially added after discussion.
