We are seeking a Service Delivery Technician to be the first point of contact for all ICT incidents and service requests. This role involves providing customer-focused ICT support and maintaining system security and end-user equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of ICT services and contributing to the delivery and development of the ICT service.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for ICT incidents and service requests, recording them in the ICT service desk applications.
  • Resolve incidents at the first point of contact or assign to relevant teams.
  • Maintain network, applications, and telephony accounts, ensuring appropriate access and resources.
  • Ensure system security through updates, access controls, anti-virus, and data integrity measures.
  • Maintain and fix faults in end-user equipment and peripheral devices, keeping the asset register updated.
  • Support end-user applications, maintain application configuration, and liaise with external providers to resolve incidents.
  • Assist in the implementation of systems and services, including configuration, testing, and training.
  • Purchase ICT consumables and assets in accordance with financial procedures.
  • Produce documentation for incident/problem management and change control.
  • Keep up to date with IT trends and share knowledge to implement new solutions and strategies.
  • Comply with all Group's ICT Policies and legislations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in ICT support or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of system security measures and end-user support.
  • Proficiency in ICT service desk applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of ICT policies and legislation, including Data Protection Act and Computer Misuse Act.
  • This post is subject to a basic DBS clearance.
