Randstad Education is looking for exceptional and motivated mainstream teachers to apply for the position of History Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering the curriculum, ensuring that students receive a high-quality education.

Requirements

  • A relevant degree, along with a UK PGCE or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service is required.
  • A minimum of 3 months of teaching experience in the UK.
  • Familiarity with the national curriculum.
  • A strong passion for history and humanities education.
  • Confidence combined with humility.
  • Kind, compassionate, and considerate, with an understanding of international contexts.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver well-structured lessons tailored to the abilities of all students and the curriculum.
  • Employ diverse teaching strategies and resources to engage all learners.
  • Foster enthusiasm for the subject and motivate students to reach their full potential.
  • Provide constructive feedback to enhance student learning and adapt teaching strategies as needed.
  • Analyse historical data to draw conclusions and inform decisions.
  • Organise and maintain historical records, documents, and artefacts, ensuring their preservation and accessibility.
  • Create educational and outreach programs to engage students and the community in the importance of history and preserving historical records.
