Job Title: Sheet Metal Worker/Fabricator
Salary - Up to £16.69 per hour DOE (based on a 38.5-hour week with overtime available) - 2pm finish on a Friday

Job Description:
Based in Dartford, my client is seeking a skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Worker/Fabricator to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in precision sheet metal work, with the ability to handle a variety of metals and machinery. This role requires a meticulous approach, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair sheet metal products and equipment.
- Operate machinery and tools used in the sheet metal fabrication process.
- Ensure all work meets precision standards of +/- 0.2mm.
- Work with materials such as aluminium, stainless steel, and mild steel.
- Operate CNC brake press for shaping and forming sheet metal.
- Perform TIG and MIG welding as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Inspect and test completed products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven work experience in a precision sheet metal environment, ideally with tolerances ranging from +/- 0.2mm.
- Comprehensive knowledge of a machine workshop environment, specifically working with aluminium, stainless steel, and mild steel.
- Proficiency in operating CNC brake press machines.
- Experience with TIG and MIG welding is advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure precision and quality.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
- Ideally, a time-served apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the field.
