Are you a skilled Project Engineer with a mechanical or electrical bias seeking a new opportunity? Our client, a leading engineering contractor in the water sector, is looking for a Project Engineer to join their team on the Southern Water Framework. This role is key to ensuring that complex water infrastructure projects are delivered efficiently and to the highest standards.

You will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical and/or electrical aspects of various projects, ensuring all work is carried out to specification and within budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the mechanical or electrical elements of water projects, from design through to completion.
  • Coordinating with other engineering disciplines and project managers to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Reviewing and approving technical drawings and specifications.
  • Conducting site inspections and overseeing the installation and commissioning of systems.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and safety regulations.
  • Providing technical support and resolving any engineering issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Preparing reports and documentation to track project progress and ensure all targets are met.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Project Engineer with a mechanical or electrical bias, ideally within the water industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems, engineering principles, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Relevant engineering qualifications and professional certifications.
