Our team of Project Managers, Business Analysts, Technical Architects, Developers and Testers deliver software projects to clients of all shapes and sizes, from FTSE 100 companies to small startups across all industries.

Overview:
Cell Software is looking for enthusiastic and motivated applicants to become a Junior Software Developer Apprentice. You will be passionate about software development and eager to learn.

Here you will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete your apprenticeship in a company with a multi-skilled and experienced development team.
We will also provide you with a mentor to help you through your journey from Apprentice to Developer.

Salary: £17,000 per annum to £20,000 per annum.

Key responsibilities:

  • Developing web and mobile solutions based on customer specifications
  • Writing and maintaining code, following coding standards and best practices
  • Troubleshooting and debugging software
  • Working with our wider team of Project Managers, UI/UX designers and Testers
  • Participating in Agile software development processes

Desired skills and attributes:

  • Knowledge of modern coding languages such as C#, .Net, Java, Swift & Kotlin
  • Knowledge of databases and SQL
  • Familiarity with HTML, XML, JSON and scripting languages
  • Analytical thinking skills
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Being a good team player

Entry requirements:
7 GCSE's total:

  • English GCSE grade D or above
  • Other 6 GCSE's, including Maths, to be C or above

You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship in a similar subject.

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
