Procurement Engineer; 6 month contract; based near Blackburn, £21.38 per hour PAYE
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Engineer to support our client BAE Systems working a a 6 month contract based at Samlesbury site within their Air Sector.The role holder will have an understanding of Procurement capabilities and sub-contract management. You will be an excellent communicator who can interact with diverse groups across different levels of the organisation.
Typical duties will involve;
- Raising Request for Quotations (RFQs) and Request for Information (RFI)s and chasing in responses from Suppliers.
- Negotiating prices with suppliers
- Working closely with the Performance Procurement team.
- Working closely with the bid campaign team to achieve acceptable pricing.
- Manage supplier relationships.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to chase dependencies.
- Supporting the Value Procurement Team with administrative activities.
- The role holder will be responsible for taking reasonable care of thie health and safety
The role holder will be proficient in Microsoft Applications and able to pick up new systems. You will be able to work in a team.
