Soft Facilities Management Contract Manager

We're actively seeking a Contracts Manager to join our Facilities Management service. Facilities Management provide a vital service to maintain and support a diverse range of buildings and services including libraries, fire stations and day centres. The successful candidate will be delivering high profile critical contracts to these front-line services.

Salary: £45,441 to £48,474 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: Full-time (37 hours per week)

Location: County Hall, West Street, Chichester, PO19 1RQ (Hybrid and Flexible Working)

This role offers hybrid working arrangements and will require you to work from county council office buildings and make regular site visits, as well as the flexibility of home working as appropriate. Final arrangements to be confirmed with successful candidate.

You will need to be able to travel independently around the county, including to areas that may not be easily accessible by public transport. Pool cars and pool bikes available.

The Opportunity

As a Contracts Manager, you will thrive as a subject matter expert and lead the Soft Facilities Management and Dual Use contract management.

You will negotiate, manage, and monitor a range of complex and medium- to high-value contracts effectively to meet customer requirements and business need.

Your expertise will be instrumental in managing multiple contracts simultaneously, overseeing project teams, and maintaining strong relationships with all County Council directorates to ensure the contracts are meeting the Services' needs.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of contract management, from negotiation to management. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, while also maintaining strong relationships.

Alongside this, you will line manage, mentor, motivate and support the growth and development of our Caretaking and Premises team and Grounds Maintenance Contract team.

About You

We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can handle multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities are a must, as you'll be the go-to person for resolving any issues that may rise.

If you are a proactive leader with excellent negotiation skills and can build strong working relationships, we want to hear from you!

You will have a working knowledge of educational settings and structure and the ability to influence and engage school professionals.

The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills and knowledge of Facilities Management. You will have experience of managing teams from different disciplines with excellent interpersonal skills.
