We are on the lookout for a dedicated and efficient individual to join our team and provide a confidential business support service to our front line and statutory services. This is a temporary contract until July, with a review for extension. The role is office-based at location S70 2DR and offers a salary of £12.59 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: You will be the first point of contact for our customers, handling telephone and face-to-face enquiries, providing advice, guidance, signposting, and support across a diverse range of service functions in line with legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Correspondence: You will manage a variety of correspondence, dealing with incoming and outgoing information.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including managers, employees, and members of the public, ensuring information and communication links are maintained.
  • Meeting Support: You will support Statutory Meetings, including recording decisions accurately and swiftly directly onto e-forms, templates using mobile IT devices.
  • Scheduling: You will organise and coordinate meetings, diaries, and appointments, ensuring schedules and venues are appropriate for attendees.
  • Project Work: You will undertake a variety of project work and research, ensuring information is of high quality and completed according to deadlines.
  • Data Analysis: You will analyse and evaluate data/information and produce reports/information/data which is appropriate for a range of audiences including senior managers, elected members, employees, and members of the public.
  • Administrative Duties: You will undertake administrative duties whilst dealing with interruptions, queries, and conflicting demands arising from customer queries and requests.
  • System Development: You will assist in the design and development of internal business support systems and processes to ensure the efficient functioning of the service as well as ensuring that confidential information is dealt with appropriately.
  • Data Management: You will input, check, and maintain a variety of electronic and paper-based systems, ensuring information is accurate and stored appropriately.
  • Financial Administration: You will undertake financial administration including placing orders, reconciling, and processing payments using electronic systems.
  • Knowledge Development: You will develop and maintain knowledge of regulations, policies, and procedures which have implications for service delivery.
