Robert Half are working in partnership with a reputable, SME business in Swindon to recruit a newly created Accounts Assistant role to join their finance team in Swindon. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone that is keen to add value and take ownership of the transactional processes and work closely with the Financial Controller to support with month end preparation. The Accounts Assistant role will be suitable for someone that is AAT qualified or qualified by experience that takes pride in their work and ensure the smooth running of financial operations. This role can be a full-time role on a permanent basis with a salary between £24,000 - £28,000 plus other benefits.
The Role
The main duties of the Accounts Assistant role will consist of:
- Processing invoices, receipts, and payments in an accurate and timely manner.
- Bank reconciliations and assisting with month-end processes.
- Managing the company credit cards.
- Statement reconciliations.
- Preparing payment runs
- Liaise with suppliers and customers to resolve queries.
- Assist with posting journals.
- Assist with credit control and debt management.
- Adhoc tasks; preparing reports and general administration.
Requirements
To be considered for the Accounts Assistant role, you must ideally possess the following skills/attributes:
- Must have experience within a similar role.
- AAT qualified or qualified by experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good team player.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills.
