The ideal candidate for the finance assistant role should be a detail-oriented, self-starting team player with strong communication, IT, and numeracy skills, experienced in purchase and sales ledger processes, cash handling, and using electronic accounts packages, while maintaining effective relationships and a positive approach to continuous improvement.
Your new role
As Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Process financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Reconcile invoices and prepare payment runs.
- Handle purchasing queries and assist budget holders.
- Set up new accounts and manage the finance email.
- Support audits and ensure policy compliance.
- Improve financial systems and maintain relationships.
