Assistant Finance Manager

I am seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to join a great company within Warrington. This role is responsible for various elements within the Finance function, supporting the Finance Manager by controlling the company's finances using all available systems and processes.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Accounts Payable and Receivable.
- Oversee the work of the Finance Clerk and Bookkeeper.
- Assist with accounting queries including VAT and CIS.
- Maintain customer data in the General Ledger and create a Fixed Asset Register.
- Assist in quarter-end and year-end processes as required.
- Manage CIS Returns and oversee commercial loan and leasing agreements, ensuring accurate financial recording.
- Manage prepayments of Overheads and participate in ad hoc activities/projects as required by senior management.
- Develop and maintain key contacts, managing relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues through various communication channels.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in making complex decisions and implementing them successfully.
- Competent in using Accounting Software packages and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong problem-solving skills with excellent numerical, verbal, and written communication abilities.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to input and interpret complex data using IT systems.
- Ability to manage daily issues effectively and prioritise work.
- Experience in persuading, influencing, and aiding others in decision-making and implementing change.
- Working towards AAT qualification (AAT Qualified is desirable).
