Marketing and Communications Lead

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled, enthusiastic, and entrepreneurial Marketing and Comms Lead to join a forward-thinking organisation. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of marketing and communications, promoting strategic objectives and enhancing the organisation's identity as a competent and progressive entity in the industry. Preferred background in the engineering or environmental sector.

Job Type: Full-time. 37 Hours a week, 2-year Fixed Term Contract with possibility for extension

Location: King's Lynn with regular travel. Full, clean, and valid UK driving licence is essential.

Salary: 35k-50k DOE

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Lead the execution of strategic marketing and communications objectives to position the organisation as a leader in the industry.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to align marketing and communications efforts with organisational goals and values.
  • Manage an external marketing consultant to develop and deliver a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy.
  • Enhance and maintain the organisation's brand image and reputation through consistent and targeted messaging.
  • Create, edit, and oversee the production of high-quality content for various channels, including website, social media, press releases, newsletters, and promotional materials.
  • Implement and manage digital marketing campaigns, including SEO and social media, and analyse their effectiveness.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key media contacts, prepare and distribute press releases, and coordinate media events and interviews.
  • Engage with stakeholders and manage third-party suppliers to achieve marketing goals.
  • Regular travel across the district and to various locations linked to the business, including site visits and working with delivery teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a marketing and communications role.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to learn and contribute to a team.
  • Ability to produce interesting and valuable content.
  • Experience in managing third-party suppliers and possibly some line management responsibility.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, including SEO and social media.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
