University based in East London are seeking a 1 month temp cover to assist with the following:
Data Analyst
- £23 per hour
- Location: EAST LONDON
- Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (August, with the possibility of September)
- Working Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days in the office, negotiable)
We are looking for a Data Analyst to support the Assessments and Quality of 5x programmes. This role is ideal for someone who is a fast learner, strong with Excel, and has experience in supporting the operations of assessments within an educational setting.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Optimise existing Excel sheets for analysing student mark data, including comparisons between modules and programmes, and measuring student attainment.
- Review and enhance Mark Sheets to improve formulas, reduce load speed, and increase user-friendliness.
- Undertake various data-related tasks, including analysis and reporting.
- Arrange physical archiving of all scripts in London.
- Support academics with the uploading of exam papers for external scrutiny.
- Collaborate with other Professional Services staff to create new Standard Operating Procedure documentation and user guides.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- The knowledge of how to build VBA macros
- Fast learner with strong analytical skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Understanding of VBA or scripting is ESSENTIAL
- Knowledge of SITs (mark entry, TMR'ing, etc.) is desirable but not essential.
