My client is a specialist manufacturer that produces products for the agriculture sector. They are looking to expand their engineering team by taking on a Workshop Engineer.
The Workshop Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- Strong knowledge and experience in workshop engineering and mechanical assembly
- Engineering qualification (BEng, MEng, BSc, HND, NVQ) in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar
- Excellent skills in using workshop tools and machinery
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Ability to work well, both individually, as well as a part of a team
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
The Workshop Engineer role will involve:
- Working within the current engineering team
- Performing mechanical assembly and fabrication tasks
- Conducting routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment
- Producing components and parts to specification using workshop tools
- Liaising with colleagues on other engineering tasks as required
