Job Title: Finance Assistant

Location: Huddersfield

Remuneration: Competitive salary, based on experience and qualifications

Contract Details: Permanent, Full Time

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  • Prepare financial reports and statements
  • Assist in budget preparation and forecasting
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to provide insights and recommendations to the team

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A qualification from a recognised accountancy body (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, AAT) is preferred
  • Professionalism is a key requirement for this role
  • Honesty and integrity in handling financial information and transactions
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality work within deadlines
  • Ability to add value by identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Knowledge of the finance industry and understanding of the current business environment
