Cedar is currently recruiting for an Intelligence and Performance Officer to join a local authority based in the North West. The post holder will collaborate with the performance team and senior officers to identify performance issues across the children's services division.
Daily Rate: £320 - £400 per day Inside IR35
Hybrid: 2-3 days in office
Location: North West England
Duration: Interim
Responsibilities
- Lead on intelligence initiatives, scope, produce reports and create technical specification logs.
- Support compliance with national, regional and local policy developments by interpreting legislation and developing performance activity.
- Drive and develop an intelligence lead approach on the delivery and commissioning of services.
- Deliver against reporting requirements.
- Use data and analytics to support the delivery of the Councils improvement plan and SEND self-evaluation.
- Develop software solutions in Power BI and create reports in SQL with IT colleagues and service leads.
- Collaborate with the IT team on the development of data warehouse solution and data analytics to drive improvement and understanding of key issues across the organisation.
- Complete research and analysis and prepare briefing notes.
- Work independently as a self-starter to efficiently deliver and develop work programmes whilst prioritising tasks and delivering on key objectives.
Requirements
- Previously experience working in a similar role in a local authority
- Intermediate / expert on the following software/systems:
- Microsoft Office
- SQL Server/Oracle
- Power BI/SSRS
- Data Architecture and Warehouse Solutions
