About the Role

Join our dynamic client's HR Team as 5an HR Advisor where you will be handling your own caseload of work, some of which, will be fairly complex. In this client-focused, fast-paced environment, no two days are the same. You will provide comprehensive strategic HR services to a range of external clients, predominantly from the education sector, including academies and maintained schools.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, developing, and embedding HR policies and procedures, including consultation and negotiation with trade unions.
  • Building positive relationships with clients, offering proactive, solution-focused advice and support to resolve complex HR issues.
  • Attending meetings on-site and remotely.
  • Undertaking HR activities such as investigations, planning and delivering HR training, and presenting at termly HR Briefings.
  • Participating in job evaluation processes across the wider People Services.

About You

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Possess a relevant degree or professional management qualification or demonstrate significant operational experience at an equivalent level with excellent IT skills.
  • Have experience in designing, developing, and implementing practical HR policies, procedures, guidance, and associated template documents.
  • Be a team player with extensive experience in a sold HR service environment, managing multiple complex casework.
  • Have business and commercial awareness, with an up-to-date understanding of employment legislation and associated case law.
  • Possess excellent listening, communication, and influencing skills, providing clear, concise strategic advice and guidance to clients and key stakeholders, including trade unions.
  • Be able to determine client needs, assess risks, and provide advice in the form of options to support clients in resolving complex HR issues including TUPE, disciplinaries, Union negotiations and policy formulation.
  • Be flexible and a self-starter, able to manage conflicting priorities efficiently while maintaining a high standard of work.
