Are you an experienced C&I technician or engineer with experience working in the heavier/process industries?

I am recruiting for a nationally recognised waste to energy business. The company is continuing to receive investment and is operating in the green energy sector.

To be successful in this role, You should meet the following requirements:

  • Experienced, qualified and competent controls and instrumentation technician
  • An understanding of Environmental, Health and Safety issues.
  • Knowledge of repair methods of control systems and instrumentation equipment
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance and work management systems
  • Knowledge of the creation of detailed scopes of work/Engineering Specifications ready to be sent out to tender.

The role:

The Lead Controls and instrumentation technician is responsible for the day-to-day supervision, planning and delivery of maintenance activities, replacement and repair of the control and instrumentation equipment at the GRREC (Glasgow Recycling & Renewable Energy Centre) Facility.

This role will also provide overall support to other disciplines as necessary using experience and skills. Assisting in the co-ordination and management of contracts and contractors as required, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment, the Lead C&I Technician will be responsible for supporting outage planning and management of site projects, whilst driving health and safety culture and ensuring the efficient running of the site.
