Hybrid - 2 days per week working from home.

Founded over a century ago, our client is a global brand with production facilities in over 20 countries and employing tens of thousands of talented individuals across the world.

We have a unique opportunity to join this superb business as a Pricing Manager, at their head office in Milton Keynes.

This is a 12-month contract initially, to review current pricing strategy, and propose and implement a revised strategy that increases demand and grows revenue whilst balancing margin aspirations.

As Pricing Manager, you will:

  • Review current pricing management and margin analysis processes and suggest changes that promotes efficiency, consistency and stability of margin.
  • Work collaboratively with all Divisions to ensure that any proposals work for all.
  • Propose an overarching pricing strategy to the Operations team and gain board approval.
  • Establish categorisation: Defining Captive, Competitive, Common, plus subcategories to enable a new, clear, margin structure as part of the strategy.
  • Develop a robust approach for implementing cost price re-alignments.
  • Implement new strategy with support from Commercial manager including robust governance measures.
  • Analyse market trends and customer demand to set competitive pricing that increases demand, grows revenue whilst balancing margin aspirations. ?
  • Create KPIs that will establish effectiveness of revised strategy with ongoing reporting to monitor the impact of a revised strategy on revenue and margin.
  • Plan for effective pricing reviews ahead of new product launches.
  • Devise and present a proposal for ongoing pricing management.

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Significant experience in pricing and margin-based activity
  • Understanding of pricing and margin management practices, systems & processes
  • Strong commercial and financial experience and acumen
  • Proven ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
  • Proven ability to operate at both strategic and tactical level
  • High productivity, an acute attention to detail and the ability to work with a high degree of autonomy
  • Proficient at data analysis and insight generation
  • Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative ethos and the ability to interact and influence a diverse range of people
