Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a leading special purpose machinery manufacturer. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes through both reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
Day-to-day of the role:
- Conducting scheduled maintenance and PPM to ensure machinery and equipment run efficiently and to reduce downtime.
- Responding promptly to equipment breakdowns and resolving issues to minimise operational disruptions.
- Diagnosing faults and repairing machinery and equipment across the manufacturing site.
- Collaborating with the production team to identify areas for maintenance improvement.
- Keeping accurate records of maintenance work, spare parts inventory, and machinery performance.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices within the maintenance department.
- Shift times are 11:00 to 20:00.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of machinery and equipment.
- Familiarity with PPM routines and reactive maintenance protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
- Relevant engineering qualifications such as HND, NVQ, City & Guilds (C&G), or equivalent practical experience.
