Senior Payroll Administrator

Title: Senior Payroll Administrator Location: Wokingham - Hybrid Salary: £35,000-£40,000 Contract: Permanent

We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Payroll Administrator to join a leading payroll services firm based in Wokingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all clients' payrolls are processed accurately and in a timely manner and assist senior members of the department with all aspects of payroll.

This role requires you to be in the office 4 days a week.

Responsibilities

:

  • Execute accurate and timely end-to-end payroll processing for multiple clients, including tasks such as handling new hires and terminations
  • Manage the auto-enrolment process for pensions, handling both opt-ins and opt-outs across various pension schemes.
  • Communicate with clients to collect necessary data for payroll preparation
  • Ensure all payrolls are processed within the specified turnaround times.
  • Address and resolve payroll queries from clients.
  • Ensure all starters, leavers, benefits and allowances information is entered on to the Payroll database and update the relevant spreadsheet to record all entries made
  • Recognize the importance of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and adhere to responsibilities within the Payroll Services Department.
  • Remain up to date with UK payroll legislation and compliance requirements, ensuring all processes adhere to the relevant regulations.

Skills

:

  • Previous experience of working in a similar role.
  • Extensive knowledge of UK payroll and pension legislation.
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to assist other members of the team when required.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and ensure high-quality completion.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
  • Have a knowledge of changes to legislation which effect payroll.
  • Confident and competent in dealing with clients.
  • Have a working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Good time keeping/punctuality.
