About the Role: A prestigious Top 10 accounting firm based in Central London is seeking an experienced and dynamic External Audit Assistant Manager to join their team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading audit engagements from planning to completion for a varied portfolio of UK and international clients.
  • Ensuring audits are conducted in accordance with IFRS standards.
  • Managing and mentoring audit teams, providing guidance and support to junior staff.
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for client queries.
  • Reviewing audit work papers and ensuring that audit files are completed to a high standard.
  • Assisting in business development activities, including proposals and presentations to potential clients.
  • Keeping up to date with changes in auditing standards and regulations, and ensuring the audit team is informed and trained on these changes.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an audit role, with a significant portion of this experience focused on IFRS.
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and auditing standards.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple audit engagements simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients and team members.
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Experience working with international clients is highly desirable.
