Claims Adjuster - Professional Indemnity

We are currently recruiting for a Claims Adjuster on behalf of our client, a highly regarded and very well-known Lloyd's/London market business.
The key purpose of the role is to adjust and settle a portfolio of claims in a prompt, accurate and consistent manner. The portfolio will primarily comprise of Professional Indemnity claims, but will also include other classes of business, such as Financial Institutions, Crime, D&O, Cyber, and Healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
- Promptly agreeing valid claims for payment.
- Raising all appropriate queries where further information is required.
- Rejecting invalid claims.
- Adjusting quantum of covered claims.
- Negotiating and resolving disputed claims.
- Ensuring accurate reserves are recorded.
- Liaising with co-insurers as required.
- Raising, recording and tracking queries on claims as required.
- Eliminating redundant reserves.
- Managing relationships with policyholders, brokers, cedants, claimants / claimant representatives, lawyers, loss adjusters, and other experts.
Key Requirements
- Candidates must have previous claims handling experience in at least one of the following classes of business (ideally gained within the Lloyd's Market) - Professional Indemnity, Financial Institutions, D&O, Cyber, Crime, and Healthcare. Candidates from a claims broking background will also be considered.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of the International and US Financial Lines market, as well as the Lloyd's Claims Scheme.
- Proficiency with company and market claims systems.
