An opportunity has arisen for a depot manager at our Barking depot.
Reporting to the Operations Director your responsibilities will include:
Essential
- Always maintain first-class standards
- Capable of running a depot with an output of £2 m a year
- Management of a team of 14 (and growing)
- Ensuring that the depot is performing against all agreed targets and operating with all Health and Safety guidelines
- Responsible for supervising stock takes and acting as custodian of all assets across the depot
- Supporting all depot employees via coaching and training to ensure they can be the best they can
- Supporting the Sales team and providing operation support to the senior leadership team
- Support all customers with any inbound enquiries and queries
- Ensure the depot is maintained to a high standard
- Ensure all deliveries are delivered in the correct time frame
Nice to have
- Experience in the tool hire industry
- Experience as a Depot Manager (we will consider the right candidate who hasn't had Depot Manager experience)
- Experience in Transport & Logistics or Construction industry
- Several years of experience in the construction or tool hire industry
- Good IT literacy including Excel and Word.
- A current driving license
The package will be by negotiation and will include a base salary and generous performance-related bonus.
