Outreach Worker SEMH

Prospero Teaching are recruiting for an Outreach Worker in a lively and supportive SEN school in Preston. You will be required to do some SEN support with the students and the community. The school is for young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues.

In this role, you will be required to take attendance in the mornings, and liaise with parents over absences. You will then need to go and do some support work in the community. You will need to be comfortable liaising with social services and other parties to best support the young people.

You should be confident in behaviour management techniques and deescalation strategies in order to manage the young peoples behaviour and help them to engage with the curriculum.

All the young people that you will be working with will have an education and health care plan (EHCP) which you will be able to refer to.

You must drive and have access to your own car for this role - and be willing to get business insurance on your vehicle.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references
have a full, clean UK Drivers License and Access to your own car
