GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a well-established manufacturing business who are a market leader in Natural Healthcare, based in Gloucester. We are supporting their recruitment for a Senior Project Engineer to join their team on a Fixed Term 12 Month Contract.

Previous experience working within the pharmaceutical industry is essential.
The role is Monday -Thursday, working 7:45am till 16:30pm with Friday working hours 8:00 - 12:30pm.
The successful candidate will be Responsible for delivery of engineering and facility related projects including project, plans, resource and cost management and progress reporting throughout project lifecycle. You will also be integral to the training and mentorships of the existing staff on site.
Senior Project Engineer main responsibilities:
- Liaise directly with Engineering and Maintenance Supervisors to ensure engineering and site project progress is clearly communicated.
- Ensure all project activity is undertaken in accordance with Regulatory and company EHS requirements.
- Ensure all project activity on GMP related equipment or facilities is undertaken in accordance with Regulatory and company GMP requirements.
- Manage engineering and site projects as required including project timescales, resource, expenditure and status updates using appropriate Microsoft applications.
- Liaise directly with contractors and key stakeholders to ensure all project activity is clearly communicated and completed with minimal impact to functional areas and the overall business.
- Co-ordinate any contractor activity associated with project activities ensuring all EHS and GMP controls are applied at all times.
- Generation and approval of engineering documents required for equipment or facility qualifications including URS, DS, DQ and stand-alone Protocols.
- Ensure any changes to GMP equipment or facilities are documented and approved under site Change Control procedures.
- Ensure all project related documentation relating to GMP equipment or facilities is of sufficient standard to withstand regulatory scrutiny.
- Carry out documented investigations into non-conformances on GMP systems including assessment of risk, RCA and effective CAPAs.
- Write or amend SOP's as required by any associated project works.
- Support Operations projects associated with OEE and CI initiatives to help deliver process efficiencies within production processes.
- Update and maintain production line and facility AutoCAD drawings as impacted by project works.
- Additional duties may be required other than those identified above.
Senior Project Engineer required skills and experience:
- Previous experience within a project management role ideally within a GMP environment.
- 3+ Years of Project Engineering experience.
- Prior understanding of URS, DS, DQ and stand-alone Protocols desirable.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office or CAD skills.
- Able to work on your own initiative but must be able to work together with the current maintenance team and external contractors.
- Engineering degree, HNC or HND minimum requirement to be considered for this role.
