We are looking for a dedicated Credit Controller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining excellent customer relationships. This role is crucial in reducing Days Sales Outstanding (DSOs), minimising bad debts, and maximising collection performance. A close working relationship with our franchise network is also key to this position.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Control and manage customer accounts, ensuring collections are made promptly.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with customers to facilitate efficient collections.
  • Work towards reducing DSOs and minimising bad debts.
  • Develop a close working relationship with the franchise network.
  • Produce account reconciliations and maintain accurate customer records and ledger accounts.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing calls, ensuring all customer queries are logged and resolved efficiently.
  • Undertake administrative duties such as supplying statements, copying invoices, applying credit terms to accounts, and assisting with legal recovery.
  • Process payment allocations to your ledger promptly.
  • Resolve remittance issues with customers and review suspense accounts to resolve amounts held.
  • Responsible for aged debt reporting, weekly banking reporting, and bank reconciliation duties.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties within your capabilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of previous experience in Credit Control.
  • Experience with MS applications and MS Dynamics operating system is useful.
  • Proven experience in process efficiency.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A keen eye for detail and a high degree of accuracy.
