Your new company
This Primary School combines a one form entry primary school and nursery with registered provision for over fifty children with special educational needs in six additional classes.Of the many characteristics of this school, it is the integration of the many children who have additional needs with those who don't that they are most passionate about.
The governors are seeking to appoint five Teaching Assistants to support learning with the school's EYFS cohort, in the mainstream Year Six class and in three of its SEND Unit Classes.
Your new role
In your new role, you will work alongside class teachers and your new colleagues to promote a stimulating, inclusive, and accessible learning environment and offer 1:1 and group support in all subjects. Other duties will include intervention and booster sessions, phonics, classroom management, behaviour management and building the self-esteem of your new pupils.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful with your application, you need full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as a minimum of 40 days of referenceable experience supporting children and young people in the last 2 years, as well as:
- Previous experience working with children/students between the ages of 5-11
- An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in supporting teaching and learning is advantageous but not essential
- The ability to take a person-centred approach to learning
