Mathematics Teacher & KS3 Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated Mathematics Teacher to lead our KS3 curriculum development and inspire our students at a vibrant secondary school. This role is not only about teaching but also about shaping the future of our Mathematics department and fostering a love for the subject among our students.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality mathematics lessons to KS3 students.
  • Develop and implement schemes of work and assessments in line with the national curriculum.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing targeted support to ensure high levels of achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the department to share best practices and resources.
  • Act as a mentor to fellow teachers, offering guidance and support to enhance teaching quality.
  • Participate in and contribute to whole-school initiatives, meetings, and extracurricular activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE in Mathematics.
  • Demonstrable experience in teaching mathematics at the secondary level.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • A strong commitment to student achievement and development.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate within the department, promoting a positive and engaging learning environment.
