Do you enjoy a work environment where you are supported but left alone to take ownership and responsibility for your projects, do you enjoy the accountability of being a Project Manager.
Do you like working on multiple projects at the same time, typically 3-6, from small change 4-8 weeks through to large impact 18 months change projects?
Do you enjoy having a variety of technology subjects to work with, for example you could simultaneously be leading a network migration, a new SAAS software package implementation, a functionality change to an existing legacy application and leading the development of a business case. All technology related but all very different subjects.
My client is looking for someone who has experience of leading IT projects in mid enterprise size arenas, you will ideally have been able to demonstrate expert understanding around project governance, whist being able to apply the right level of governance to fit the complexity of the change and the stakeholder group.
This is not an environment which would suit templated project management, we are looking for someone who can ‘sell' project management to the project team and who can apply the right level of governance to manage risks and someone who has expert communication skills to translate that risk to the project team.
My client has a group structure with multiple businesses operating under the group, they are always looking for process improvement so any experience around Lean / Six Sigma would be really helpful.
The are operating a hybrid work environment 3 days in the office 2 days remote and they are based just north of Birmingham.
- Salary £55,000- 65,000 plus bonus
- 25 days holiday
- 6% pension
The key to a candidate being successful in this process will be their ability to lead a wide variety of projects and their ability to apply a ‘cut to fit' project governance approach, using superb communication skills to influence right across the project team.
